A street artist known as the "Sticker Lady" was arrested by Singapore police for putting up humorous labels around the notoriously conservative city state and could be jailed for vandalism.
Samantha Lo, 27, who launched an online arts magazine, put the monochrome printed stickers with slogans like "Press for Time Travel" and "Press to Stop Time" on pedestrian crossing call buttons around the city.
Police released Lo and are deciding whether to press charges under strict anti-vandalism laws that could see her facing up to three years in jail and a fine of £2,000.
But the police reaction to her activities sparked a wave of outrage from 14,000 people who signed a petition calling for leniency and spawned a rash of copycats on social-network sites who tweaked the slogans on her stickers. Full story...
