Pour avoir choisi de se marier malgré les objections de leurs familles, un couple à Jharkhand s’est abrité sous un arbre il y a 25ans, et il est devenu leur nid pour toute la vie.
Mangra Mahali et sa femme Balkhi, tous les deux âgés d’une cinquantaine d’années, habitent sous un arbre prés de la gare de Tatisilve, à environs 30km de Jharkhand. Le couple vivait dans le même village et ils sont tombés amoureux de l’un de l’autre. Mais leurs familles ne voulaient rien savoir de leur mariage et ils ont été éjectés de leurs maisons.
Les deux amoureux se sont donc rendus au temple du village en espérant y trouver l’abri, mais le prêtre, n’ayant pas le courage d’affronter les parents et les villageois, a refusé de les accueillir. Dépourvu de choix, le couple a passé la nuit sous un arbre que les indigènes appellent dudhiya pakhar, et qui ressemble au banian.
Lorsqu’on s’est levé le lendemain, on ne savait pas où aller. Alors, on a décidé de transformer cet arbre en notre maison. Et nous y sommes restés depuis, Mangra a déclaré à l’agence de presse IANS.
Nous avons vécu pendant 25ans sous cet arbre. Personne ne nous a aidés, mais cet arbre était là. Comment peut-on le quitter maintenant?, demande Mangra. Tous nos souvenirs, les bons comme les mauvais, sont liés à cet arbre.
Les fils, Soriha et Ajay Mahali, salarié tous les deux, sont fiers de leurs parents. Ils ont combattu les jours difficiles avec fortitude en restant ici au lieu d’abandonner l’espoir. Mes parents sont des exemples pour tous les couples amoureux de rester uni même quand tout va mal, a dit Ajay.
Le prêtre au temple a déclaré : nous respectons le couple Mahali. Sous la pression sociale, j’ai refusé de les accueillir au temple. Ils n'ont jamais demandé de l’aide à personne. En travaillant dur, ils ont gagné leur vie eux-mêmes et ils ont élevé leurs enfants.
Mangra a dit : la vie était dure pour nous après le mariage. Mais nous nous somme soutenus émotionnellement et nous avons lutté pour mener une vie simple. Aujourdhuii, après 25ans de mariage, on a le sentiment de satisfaction.

Se donnant le nom de Little Leung dans un forum d’amitié pour adultes, le garçon offrait ses services sexuels aux "femelles" entre 10 à 45ans, d’après le Hong Kong Standard.
Sa pub bizarre, avec une photo de son sexe, le décrivait comme un Chrétien et qu’il offrait de « faire l’amour » aux filles et aux femmes pour 450 dollars Hong Kong ($US58).
Des internautes outragés ont publiés ses coordonnées sur le Net en menaçant de le dénoncer aux autorités de son école secondaire.
L’identité du garçon a été révélée par un processus connu en Chine comme « moteur de recherche humain » qui permet des internautes de partager des ressources et de l’information afin de traquer une personne.
Une fois démasqué, le garçon a publié un appel on-line demandant le directeur et ses professeurs de ne pas l’expulser de l’école, toujours selon le Standard.
La police a déclaré que l’enquête suit son cours mais personne n’a été inculpé. A Hong Kong, les crimes « immoraux » sont punissables par des condamnations allant jusqu'à six mois de prison pour des malfaiteurs adultes.
