An airline is facing a mass boycott after a Muslim woman was refused a can of Diet Coke because 'it could be used as a weapon'.
Thousands have voiced their fury at the treatment of Tahera Ahmad - who complained only to be told by a fellow passenger: 'You Muslim, you need to shut the f*** up'.
Ms Ahmad, a university chaplain in Chicago, was on a United Airlines flight at 30,000ft when she asked for an unopened can of Diet Coke 'for hygiene reasons'.
A cabin crew member said she couldn't have it because of security fears - but minutes later brought an unopened can of beer to the man next to Ms Ahmad.
Ms Ahmad wrote on Facebook: "I told her that she was clearly discriminating against me.
"She looked at his can, quickly grabbed it and opened it and said, 'it's so you don't use it as a weapon.' Full story...
