An Indian court has sentenced seventeen policemen to life in prison for killing a 22-year-old jobseeker who was held in custody in the Uttarakhand State capital of Dehradun, lawyers say.
The Indian court issued the verdicts on Monday after convicting the officers of kidnapping and killing Ranbir Singh in 2009.
