Thailand offers German classes for brides migrating to Germany...

Thailand is offering German-language and cultural classes for women from north-eastern Thailand seeking to move to Germany with their husbands, news reports said Saturday.

The pilot project is due to start Wednesday at Khon Kaen University, 350 kilometres north-east of the capital, the Bangkok Post reported.

At least 20 students have enrolled in the course, which has been set up by the Foreign Ministry in collaboration with Khon Kaen University, the largest university in Isan, the north-eastern region of Thailand. Isan is the country's poorest, most populous region. More...
