14 internet addicts in China flee treatment centre...

The lure of the internet proved too much for a group of young men who fled from a boot camp designed to wean them off their addiction to the web.

The harsh regime and intense physical training at the Huai’an Internet Addiction Treatment Centre in eastern China also did little to lift the spirits of the 14 inmates, aged between 15 and 22, who broke out.

As a world without YouTube, Facebook and Twitter got the better of them, they escaped after tying up a sleeping duty supervisor with his bed sheets. More...
