Sudan's "trouser" journalist angry at being freed from jail...

Lubna Hussein, the Sudanese woman convicted of public indecency for wearing trousers, was freed after a day in prison on Tuesday.

Sudan's journalist union paid a £122 fine on her behalf despite her wishes after she was found guilty that she should serve her sentence to continue to bring publicity to her case.

Ms Hussein, a journalist and former UN press officer, was arrested with 12 friends as they dined in a Khartoum restaurant in July. More...
