Indian family kicked out of Scotland and refused re-entry...

A Perth woman who was booted out of Scotland with her two young children after her husband died suddenly has been told she cannot move back to her adopted homeland.

Nidhi Singh had been hoping to return to Scotland from India with her daughters Kashish and Tanisha. But it emerged on Monday that despite months of campaigning, the Home Office has ruled out further investigation of the case.

Mrs Singh’s husband, Navjot, died suddenly, aged 35, just weeks before the family would have become eligible for permanent UK residency.

Following the computer expert’s death, Mrs Singh and her daughters were forced to leave Scotland, their friends and their last ties to Mr Singh, whose ashes were scattered on the River Tay.More...
