Sri Lanka accused of war crimes after 'Tamil execution' videos emerge...

Sri Lanka has been accused of war crimes after video footage apparently showing government soldiers executing nine naked Tamils emerged three months after the end of the 25-year separatist war.

The graphic footage, apparently shot by a soldier on a mobile phone, shows a naked man sitting blindfolded and bound in the dirt. A soldier, apparently from the Sinhalese majority kicks the man before he is shot in the back of the head.

The bodies of eight other executed Tamils are shown later in the footage.

Journalists for Democracy in Sri Lanka, which passed the material to Channel 4 , said it was filmed in January, when the government prevented international media from covering the conflict zone. More...
