How "green" rules and regulations are transforming America ... and the world!

Ladies and gentlemen, I’ve come a long way to get here and I have such a short time to be with you. So, let’s just get everything out on the table right now, shall we?

I believe the American people, and their every action, are being ruled, regulated, restricted, licensed, registered, directed, checked, inspected, measured, numbered, counted, rated, stamped, censured, authorized, admonished, refused, prevented, drilled, indoctrinated, monopolized, extorted, robbed, hoaxed, fined, harassed, disarmed, dishonored, fleeced, exploited, assessed, and taxed to the point of suffocation and desperation.

America is drowning in a sea of rules and regulations, particularly under the guise of “saving the environment.”

Que le gouvernement ait développé le virus de la Grippe Porcine de 1976 et qu’il en ait infecté les recrues pour voir si le public répondrait à l’appel à la vaccination contre la Grippe Porcine ou encore, que les recrues aient été infectées par un vaccin contaminé qu’ils ont reçu lors de leur recrutement, il demeure que cette vague [de grippe porcine] fut une tromperie du début à la fin. Je fut l’une des personnes qui furent dupées et qui ont reçu le vaccin contre la Grippe Porcine, lequel m'a rendu atrocement malade. Le travail change et les maux s’intensifient...

A la veille de la Journée mondiale pour la santé et sécurité au travail , et dans le contexte actuel de crise économique, impossible de ne pas se demander quelles répercussions sur la santé des salariés peuvent avoir ces nouvelles données. Nouveaux éléments qui s’ajoutent aux divers constats établis ces derniers mois.

En effet, de nombreux facteurs concourent aujourd’hui à une dégradation globale de la santé au travail : licenciements et restructurations, temps de travail éclatés, intensification du recours à des produits chimiques et donc des expositions à des produits dangereux. Enfin, une durée hebdomadaire du travail sans cesse plus longue pour nombre de ceux qui travaillent, en France : on estime en effet que 15% des salariés dépassent les 45 heures par semaine. Even with all this attention, photographs from North Korea are still restricted and hard to come by. A halt to combat operations in Sri Lanka?

Sri Lanka has ordered an end to combat operations against Tamil Tiger rebels in the country's north, the president's office said Monday.

"Our security forces have been instructed to end the use of heavy-caliber guns, combat aircraft and aerial weapons which could cause civilian causalities," according a statement from the Presidential Secretariat.

The military will concentrate on "saving" and "rescuing civilians," who have been caught in the fighting between government forces and rebel fighters, the statement said. More...

Children being killed in Pakistan. WTF!

Four children and their parents were killed in a hand-grenade blast in Pakistan's restive northwest on Sunday, a day after 12 children were killed by a bomb hidden in a football.

Violence has increased in the region as Taliban fighters have extended their reach. Western allies, needing Pakistan's help to defeat al Qaeda and stabilise neighbouring Afghanistan, fear the country is in danger of sliding into chaos.

Censors are refusing to allow an advertising campaign against domestic violence featuring Keira Knightley to be shown in full on television.

Clearcast, the company which censors adverts on behalf of Ofcom, has reportedly ruled that scenes showing the star of Atonement and Pirates of the Caribbean being thrown to the ground and kicked must be removed before it can be broadcast.

Maïs Monsanto : l'Afrique du Sud récolte des champs stériles...

Les fermiers de trois provinces sud africaines ont eu la désagréable surprise de découvrir des dizaines de milliers de plants de maïs stériles dans leurs champs. Le phénomène, qui s'étend sur 82 000 hectares, touche trois variétés différentes de semences achetées à la firme Monsanto. En apparence, les plantes sont en bonnes santé : ni malformation ni maladies ni parasite. Mais elles ne produisent pas ou peu de graines.

Swiss heartland voters tell German nude ramblers to buzz off !!!

Voters in the heart of the Swiss Alps on Sunday passed legislation banning naked hiking after dozens of mostly German nudists started rambling through their picturesque region.

By a show of hands citizens of the tiny canton (state) of Appenzell Inner Rhodes voted overwhelmingly at their traditional open-air annual assembly to impose a 200 Swiss franc ($176) fine on violators.

Six jeunes filles d'une quinzaine d'années qui mettent un peu de vie devant les caisses de la Fnac Saint-Lazare, à Paris. La moitié d'entre elles tiennent un petit livre format poche à la main. « J'ai trop envie de savoir ce qui lui arrive... L'histoire est vraiment bien, on devrait en parler à la prof de français, je suis sûre que ça lui plairait. » L'objet de leur enthousiasme ? Nana, un manga plus connu chez les ados aujourd'hui que le roman de Zola. Après avoir conquis l'archipel nippon, l'histoire de ces deux amies qui s'installent à Tokyo - leurs tribulations, leurs déboires professionnels et sentimentaux - triomphe dans l'Hexagone. Le vingtième tome (!) vient à peine de sortir que, déjà, il s'arrache. Depuis 2002, plus de 1 200 000 exemplaires ont été vendus en France... à un public presque exclusivement féminin ! Une performance chez nous, où les filles étaient encore considérées il y a peu par les « professionnels de la profession » comme hermétiques aux bulles, définitivement perdues pour le neuvième art. Taliban gunmen have been filmed executing a surprised couple whom they repeatedly shot for the alleged crime of adultery.

Their deaths were squalid, riddled with bullets in a field near their home by Taliban gunmen as the execution was captured on a mobile telephone.

Shoe thrown at Indian prime minister...

A protestor threw a shoe at Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh during an election rally on Sunday, but it landed several feet short of where he was speaking.

Singh was addressing the gathering in the western Gujarat state's main Ahmedabad city and was momentarily distracted from his speech as a security personnel ran towards the spot where the shoe was lying.

The guard then kicked and later carried away the white sneaker which had landed about 20 feet away from the podium.

Singh continued his speech as the man, identified as Hitesh Chauhan, a city-based computer engineer in his mid-20s, was whisked away by security personnel. More...

Monsanto files suit against Germany over GM ban...

Monsanto has filed a lawsuit against the German government after the EU member state banned planting of its genetically modified MON810 maize last week.

MON810 maize is genetically engineered to produce Bacillus thuringiensis, which is toxic to the corn borer pest. Permitted in Europe since 1998 for animal feed, it is marketed as a way to save farmers money on insecticides and other pest controls.

However German agriculture minister Ilse Aigner claimed last week that she had “legitimate reasons” to believe the maize to be a danger to the environment – and believes the Environment Ministry to agree with the view. Although MON810 has been permitted in Germany since 2005, she scrapped plans for 3,600 hectares (8,892 acres) to be planted in the eastern states for this summer's harvest. More...

Do not take a swine flu vaccine...

I am making a plea to everyone who reads this, please, please DO NOT TAKE ANY VACCINE THAT IS PURPORTED TO ‘PREVENT’ THIS FLU.

Remember 1976 and the so called Swine Flu outbreak that was purported to be a coming pandemic? It only infected recruits at Ft. Dix. Why? Because I believe that the so called Swine Flu virus infected the recruits due to the vaccines they were given. Whether the government developed the Swine Flu 1976 virus and infected the recruits as a means to test the public to see if people would comply with a call to take vaccination against Swine Flu, or the recruits became infected via contaminated vaccine they were given as part of the recruit regimen, that outbreak was as phony as they come. I was one of the people duped into taking a Swine Flu shot and it made me so sick. I was sick in bed for three months after taking the vaccine. More...

Mexico gripped by fear over flu virus...

"I work as a resident doctor in one of the biggest hospitals in Mexico City and sadly, the situation is far from "under control". As a doctor, I realise that the media does not report the truth. Authorities distributed vaccines among all the medical personnel with no results, because two of my partners who worked in this hospital (interns) were killed by this new virus in less than six days even though they were vaccinated as all of us were. Lorsque j'ai rencontré mon futur mari, français d'origine tamoule, j'aurais à peine pu placer le Sri Lanka sur une carte et les ressorts du conflit entre Tamouls et Cinghalais étaient très obscurs pour moi. Quelques années plus tard, me voilà au cœur des rassemblements tamouls. J'y suis une des rares à ne pas être originaire de cette communauté. Voici les raisons qui m'ont poussée à m'engager.

J'étais aussi animée par la tristesse, face aux nouvelles provenant de Tamouls au Sri Lanka, d'ONG et de médias tamouls, toutes très alarmantes : des écoles et des hôpitaux bombardés par l'armée srilankaise, des civils sans protection, visés par des tirs d'artillerie de l'armée, la mise en place de camps pour les déplacés, aux pratiques douteuses… Et aucun journaliste ou observateur étranger pour en parler.

Nous étions plusieurs milliers, rassemblés en silence. Cette ambiance proche du recueillement et les pleurs de certains manifestants ayant perdu des proches m'a profondément émue et m'a poussée à me renseigner sur le conflit et sur ses origines. D'autant plus que l'absence de couverture médiatique, que j'ai découverte les jours suivants, m'a étonnée, voire même mise en colère. Article complet...

Stop à la condescendance en Afrique…

J’ai été cette semaine interloqué, désabusé et estomaqué par le zèle des Juges français qui, avec une condescendance abyssale, se sont rendus à Abidjan, capitale de la Côte-d’Ivoire, interroger la femme du chef de l’Etat en exercice, Simone Gbagbo dans le cadre de l’enquête visant à faire la lumière sur la disparition du journaliste franco-canadien, Guy-André Kieffer.

Mettons-nous d’accord sur un point: je veux bien sûr que la justice passe. Qu’elle fasse son chemin, qu’ele aboutisse mais, pas de cette façon cavalière et hypocrite. Simone Gbagbo que je ne connais pas certes, n’est pas au dessus des lois. Encore moins exemptée dans mon propos. En revanche, il y a des manières abusives qui me rébutent. Pensez-vous un seul instant que Carla Bruni soit entendue dans une quelconque affaire par les juges ivoiriens, camerounais ou burkinabés? Suite...

La fin est imminente pour les Tigres tamouls (LTTE) retranchés sur un territoire qui se rétrécie comme peau de chagrin face aux assauts répétés de l'armée, dans le nord du Sri Lanka.
