Morrissey's stinging attack on the British royal family...

Outspoken rocker MORRISSEY has blasted the British Establishment in a scathing attack, accusing officials of silencing political dissent to "protect" the royal family.

The former The Smiths singer hit headlines last month (Apr11) when he took aim at the monarchy ahead of the wedding of Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge.

 Now he has spoken out again on the eve of Queen Elizabeth II's historic visit to Dublin, Republic of Ireland on Tuesday (17May11), accusing police officers of using powers of arrest to "silence" criticism of the royal family, blasting the monarchy as "Fascism in full flow" and comparing the queen's reign to that of Libyan tyrant Muammar Gaddafi and former Egyptian leader Hosni Mubarak.
