Swedish biker denied 666 license plate renewal...

Authorities in a Swedish city have denied the renewal of a motorcycle license plate containing the number 666 to a man saying the number was “offensive to some people”, a media report said.

The man, whose name has not been revealed, received the license plate number in 2007. However when it was time to renew the registration, the city authorities refused to reissue the plates, Sweden’s Local news portal reported.

The number 666 is often called “the Number of the Beast”, referring to Satan.

Hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia is the fear of the number 666.

“The number with the combination of 666 may be offensive to some people,” according to the letter of refusal the man received after applying for his renewal.

The man said he would appeal the refusal. Source...

  1. Swedish bureaucrats are getting crazier by the day. Instead of paying them to waste their time on silly issues like this, the taxpayers should pay them to have their heads examined.
