Comedian Sacha Baron Cohen fled for his life when he was targeted by rock-wielding protesters in Israel after angering them with his antics as camp fashionista Bruno.
The star infuriated a group of Hasidic Jews in Jerusalem while shooting scenes for his 2009 movie while wearing tight hot pants and a sleeveless top.
And he's told how he was forced to take refuge in a local store as the mob chased him off.
Speaking at the Cannes Film Festival, where he is promoting new film The Dictator, Cohen tells Britain's Daily Mirror, "A bunch of Hasidic Jews ran after me with rocks and I ended up hiding in a bathroom store.
