A 27-year-old woman in northern India was burnt to death by her husband and in-laws for not fulfilling dowry demands, the Hindu reported on Tuesday, despite the brutal practice of dowry being outlawed in India.
According to the report, the woman - from the largely traditional, patriarchal state of Uttar Pradesh - was set on fire by her husband and his parents.
