Nearly one in two Swiss believes there are too many foreigners in the country, but 80 percent say Switzerland would not be as economically successful without them, according to a poll published Sunday.
The poll in the Swiss weekly Sonntags Blick showed that 48 percent of respondents think there are "too many" or "far too many" foreigners in Switzerland, up from 42 percent in a similar poll conducted in November 2010.
The figure fell to 40 percent among Swiss between the ages of 18 to 34, but rose to 53 percent among respondents over the age of 54. More...
