Scotland Yard says that the seizure from a house in east London is the largest it has ever made from one person.
The haul, which included photographs and videos deemed to be of the most serious nature, was discovered by police at the Plaistow home of Robert James Barrow, 57.
He appeared at Southwark Crown Court yesterday and admitted making and possessing indecent images of children.
Barrow is believed to have amassed the enormous collection over 15 years. He also shared them with other paedophiles, according to the Met. More...
