As hotel maid Diallo goes public, pressure mounts on Dominique Strauss-Kahn...

As the maid who says former IMF head Dominique Strauss-Kahn sexually assaulted her in a New York hotel waives her anonymity and tells her story to the press, the former socialist front-runner for the French presidency is watching his political ambitions drop over a cliff.

Nafissatou Diallo, a 32-year-old Guinean immigrant who has seen her reputation traduced in the world press - largely thanks to leaks from the Manhattan DA's own office - has declared a media war on Strauss-Kahn.

"Because of him they call me a prostitute," she said. "I want him to go to jail. I want him to know there are some places you cannot use your power, you cannot use your money."

Diallo gave her first interview to Newsweek. Today, ABC's Good Morning America will carry a long TV interview with her – and she has other interviews scheduled for the rest of the week. More...
