THE cowardice and deceitfulness of Britain’s ruling elite has reached an intolerable level.

Devoid of genuine patriotism, contemptuous of public opinion, our politicians constantly surrender to the bullying oligarchy of Brussels while pretending to uphold British independence.

Yesterday, in response to mounting outrage about the destruction of our sovereignty, the Government had the nerve to claim that membership of the European Union “is in the national interest of the UK”. That is an absurd position.
