Hindu youth in Bangalore attacked for befriending Muslim girl...

 A local court on Thursday granted bail to Yogish (29), a resident of Uppinangady who was reportedly assaulted by a vigilante mob on Monday, for fraternising with a teenage Muslim girl.

Mr. Yogesh was charged with “outraging the modesty” of the girl under Section 354 of the Indian Penal Code. The court granted bail to four persons who were part of the mob that allegedly assaulted Mr. Yogish, and charged under Sections 146 (rioting) and 295-A (outraging/insulting a religious class). They have been identified as Mansoor, Noor Ahmed, Anees and Iliyas. More...
