Sarkozy in another nepotism row, this time with rapper son...

Nicolas Sarkozy was at the centre of a furious nepotism row today after he was accused of trying to arrange a grant for his rapper son.

The French President was concerned when Pierre Sarkozy, a 24-year-old hip hop DJ nicknamed ‘Mosey’, was turned down for help with a £75,000 recording deal.

The influential SCPP, society for phonographic producers, which finances projects by new artists and producers from a tax on CD sales, said it could not help Pierre.

This led to a senior Elysee Palace aide phoning the SCPP and asking why not. More...
