A GIRL is defiled everyday in Kumi district, according to William Kaija, the resident district commissioner.

Kaija regretted that the majority of the cases involved teachers, who should have set a good example to their pupils.

"Due to the increasing defilement cases at school, many girls have dropped out, and it is common to find only one girl in a candidate class," Kaija explained. More...
