A pit-bull that was erring in the streets without a muzzle in the French town of Petit-Quevilly, near Rouen in France, attacked a police car on Monday. The dog ripped off the rear-view mirror and tore the radiator grille to shreds.
Alerted by local residents who were alarmed at seeing a pit-bull without a muzzle roaming the streets in the city centre, a police patrol managed to spot the dog which then jumped on their vehicle. A professional dog-trainer was able to overpower the dog after more than an hour’s effort. It was placed in a refuge and its owner has still not come forward. As for the police car, it has been sent for repairs…
