The mayor of Cormorant, Minnesota, has a real nose for politics, so it should come as no surprise that this past weekend he was re-elected for his third consecutive term.
As the township’s beloved incumbent mayor, the nine-year-old Great Pyrenees named Duke had no trouble scoring a landslide victory in the election, which was held during the 6th Annual Cormorant Daze Festival Saturday.
'I don't know who would run against him,' Karen Nelson told WDAY6. 'He's done such great things for the community.'
In a video from the event, the fluffy pup is seen wearing a miniature black top hat and a patriotic star-spangled bandanna around his neck.
