A FRENCH baker is to thank the homeless man who saved his life – by teaching him the trade and selling on his shop for just one euro.
Michel Flamant, 62, was close to being killed by carbon monoxide poisoning after a leak in a faulty oven.
Homeless Jerome Aucan, 37, often popped into the shop in Dole, eastern France, for a coffee and a heat.
But on December 3 last year, Jerome found Michel lying on the floor and raised the alarm.
