A man from India's Dalit community has been hacked to death on a crowded road in a suspected honour killing in the southern state of Tamil Nadu.
Police alleged that the 22-year-old was murdered because he had married a woman from a higher caste.
His father-in-law has been arrested over the murder, which took place on a busy road during the day.
Dalits, formerly known as untouchables, form the lowest rung of India's caste hierarchy.
The victim's brother Vigneswaran, who only uses one name, told BBC Hindi's Imran Qureshi that his brother's marriage had been opposed by his wife's family, who belong to a higher, more influential caste. Full story...
