A 12-year-old Amish girl appears to have beaten cancer , two years after her she and her parents refused chemotherapy and went into hiding.
Sarah Hershberger now appeared 'healthy and active' according to an Ohio judge, who ordered the end of a court-appointed medical guardianship that sought to limit the parents' rights to make medical decisions.
The family's previous attorney said in 2013 that the parents did not wish to subject their daughter to chemotherapy and believed that the will of God would triumph, Reuters reported.
The family had then gone into hiding, seeking alternative therapies.
On Friday, Medina County Probate Judge Kevin Dunn said the girl "shows no outward symptoms of the lymphoma with which she was previously diagnosed." Full story...
