Police quiz Lord Bramall as part of paedophile sex abuse inquiry...

Police investigating claims of a paedophile ring involving some of Britain’s most powerful figures have questioned one of Britain's most senior former soldiers.

Field Marshall Lord Bramall of Bushfield, 91, the former chief of the defence staff and a D-Day veteran, was interviewed for more than an hour by Scotland Yard detectives who are investigating child sex abuse and a "possible homicide".

As Edwin Bramall, Eton-educated Lord Bramall commanded a platoon at the D-Day landings and led the Army as chief of the general staff during the Falklands campaign.

He was awarded the Military Cross in 1945.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "A man in his 90s from Farnham, was today interviewed under caution after attending a local police station by appointment at 11.00am. He was not arrested.

"He was interviewed by Metropolitan police service officers working on Operation Midland. Full story...
