Police arrested a 31-year-old woman for branding the tongue of a 60-year-old woman with a hot spoon in a village in Tamil Nadu.
Inquiries revealed that V Lakshmi, a resident of Ala village near Periya Thatchur in Villupuram district, picked a quarrel with her neighbour D Sulochana on Tuesday night for dumping waste near her house. She allegedly verbally abused Sulochana.
An angry Sulochana devised a plan to teach Lakshmi a lesson. She sought the help of her nephew, Saravanan, a Class 12 student, to carry it out.
On Wednesday morning, Sulochana heated a stainless steel spoon on a stove in her house. When Lakshmi came out of her house, Saravanan caught her and held her firmly while Sulochana branded the elderly woman's tongue with the hot spoon. Full story...
