Rapist gets Rikers stay extended so he can wed longtime lover before transfer to prison...

A Manhattan judge callously catered to the twisted wishes of a rapist — granting him the chance to walk down the aisle with his girlfriend before he goes up the river.

Before watching Supreme Court Justice Maxwell Wiley sentence Kevin (Y.B.) Mitchell to 14 years in prison Wednesday for the horrifying rape, bride-to-be Tyneka Hudson ran off to get the happy couple’s wedding license. Wiley didn’t elaborate on his inexplicable snap decision to indulge a rapist while his victim still suffers.

But the 33-year-old Hudson was not shy about her thoughts.

“Everybody deserves to be married,” she told the Daily News afterward at her Brooklyn apartment.

The wedding bells at Rikers Island will be ringing soon as the judge is allowing Mitchell to stay in the city jail an extra month so he and Hudson can tie the knot before he heads to a prison upstate.

“I’m going to stay by his side. He’s a good man,” Hudson said of her 34-year-old fiancé. Full story...
