A boy in India was so offended that a girl had 'unfriended' him on Facebook that he sneaked into her house and threw boiling water in her face.
Police said student Yudhisthir Yadav, from Bihar, was having tuition with the 15-year-old girl's father when they became friends.
Local media reported that he allegedly became abusive, leading to her removing him from her list of friends on the social media site.
He took it badly and visited her at home in Gannipur mohalla, where he found a pan of boiling water on the kitchen stove and decided to throw it at her.
The girl suffered 20% burns to the right side of her face and parts of her neck. Doctors have said that she is now out of danger.
