Library-goers are living in fear in the town of Copperas Cove in the Deep South with police officers locking away those who do not return their library books on time.
One library user, Jory Enck, was put in jail for failing to return a study guide from 2010.
As he didn't respond to repeated warnings from the library to return the book, police officers locked up the library-goer.
Enck's library card was then found back at the library showing the book was turned in a day after his arrest.
Library policies showed the courts will be notified if the patron has the overdue book for a minimum of 90 days and doesn't respond to calls or emails to return it. Full story...
