The gang-rape of a student in New Delhi last year which shocked India has become the inspiration for a new Bollywood thriller.
Its producers say the aim is to embolden Indian women to report attacks and scare men into thinking twice before committing crimes.
On Tuesday, a judge is due to deliver his verdict on the trial of four men accused of raping and murdering a 23-year-old trainee physiotherapist in New Delhi at the end of last year. The incident sparked demonstrations and promises that women would be better served by police and courts.
A teenager tried separately in the same case was sentenced to three years in juvenile detention last month.
The controversial new thriller, Kill the Rapist, depicts a sexual predator stalking his prey for days. When he finally breaks into her home, she overpowers and traps him, leaving the intended victim with a moral dilemma: Call the ineffectual police or kill the rapist and bury him in the garden.
