I grew up being told that America is the best place to live in the world. I used to believe that, but I no longer do. Of course, if you proclaim this belief publicly, your fellow countrymen are likely to say something like “America, love or leave it.” Or, the more vulgar among us may sarcastically tell we naysayers to “Not let the door hit you on the __ __ __ on the way out!”
While we focus on the tremendous loss of personal liberties, as soldiers in the Patriot Reform Army, we are losing sight of other life variables which comprise what I am not dubbing the United States Misery Index.
Please allow me to refresh your memory with some axioms which designed to spur feelings of national pride and patriotism and still to this day, the American public is brainwashed to accept the following.
