Swiss second division football player, Adis Jahovic, 25, has been suspended for ten Swiss Football League (SFL) games after threatening to kill a referee. The threat to the ref came during a halftime break, after Jahovic was ejected from a league match earlier this month.
Reuters quoted a statement from the SFL that Jahovic, furious at being dismissed in the first half of a match on August 5, told the official: "If I see you after, I kill you."
The SFLwent on to state that Jahovic had been guilty of:
“threatening the referee and serious unsporting conduct."
Macedonian Football reported today that the referee included that threat in his report provided to the SFL after the game. Full story...
