A Costa Rican government worker has been sacked after a racy video emerged online showing her lying on a bed in her underwear and talking to her lover.
Karina Bolanos, Costa Rica's vice minister of culture and youth, said she recorded the private video in 2007 when she was separated from her husband.
She said someone had stolen it and tried to blackmail her to stop its release, CNN reports.
In the video Ms Bolanos, 39, is heard saying: "I miss you, I love you with all my soul and everything that you see here is yours."
The cultural ministry announced that Ms Bolanos had been fired on Monday after the video made news headlines and sparked debate on social media. Full story...
