PRINCE William and Kate splashed out a staggering £52,000 – on a ONE-WAY flight from Los Angeles to London.

The royal couple clocked up the massive travel bill with their seven-strong entourage, Buckingham Palace revealed today.

Meanwhile, Prince Andrew landed the taxpayer an eye-watering £378,000 flights bill during his last few months in his controversial role as global ambassador for UK trade and industry in the 2011/12 tax year.

But Prince Charles and Camilla took the most expensive trip with their tour of the Middle East, South Africa and Tanzania last October – after their private jet cost taxpayers £460,387.

The hefty figures were released today in the Palace’s Annual Report into Royal Public Finances.

The cost of royal travel hit £6.1MILLION last year – an increase of £100,000 from the previous year. Full story...
