Air India pilot seats his mother in cockpit!!!

An Air India commander flew his mother from Pune to Delhi on a jump seat in the plane’s cockpit after the ground staff informed him that the flight was full.

The pilot allegedly forced the duty manager at Pune airport to issue a “dummy boarding card” to ensure that his mother had access to the aircraft after he discovered that the flight was overbooked, sources said.

A source close to the pilot, however, said he had “no option” because his mother was sick and he could not have left her at the airport.

He had made an advance request for a seat — on a “staff on leave” (SOL) free ticket entitlement — on the morning flight he was operating on April 9, sources said. Full story...
