Spanish soccer fans confuse Budapest (Hungary) with Bucharest (Romania), miss Europa League final!!!

More than 400 Athletic Bilbao fans heading to the Europa League final arrived in the wrong country after mixing up the names of two cities.

The confused Spanish supporters ended up in Budapest, Hungary – hundreds of miles away from the match in Bucharest, Romania.

According to Spanish TV channel Antena 3, the group of fans then attempted to make their way to the final on Wednesday but were unable to locate the Romanian capital on a map.

They weren't the only ones getting mixed up with the similar-sounding names, though, after the official stadium announcer made the same mistake. Full story...
