Nine men have been jailed for committing a series of sex attacks as part of a child exploitation ring in Rochdale, with the judge telling them they treated their victims as 'worthless and beyond respect'.
Kabeer Hassan, Abdul Aziz, Abdul Rauf, Mohammed Sajid, Mohammed Amin, Hamid Safi, Abdul Qayyum and the gang's ring leader, who cannot be named for legal reasons, received prison sentences ranging from four to 19 years following their convictions yesterday.
The men, all from Pakistan with the exception of Safi who originates from Afghanistan, were found guilty of offences including rape and conspiracy to engage in sexual activity with a child.
Liverpool Crown Court heard how the gang had groomed their victims using drink and drugs and 'passed them around' for sex, forcing them to refer to them by names such as 'master' and tiger'. Full story...
