An Italian man who was depressed after losing his job killed his two young children by throwing them from a sixth-floor balcony before hurling himself to his death yesterday.
Marco Turrini, 41, threw Samuele, his four-year-old son, and Benedetta, his 14-month-old daughter, from the family apartment in Brescia, near Milan, in front of his horrified wife.
She was unable to stop him and ran out of the flat to find the children, but he followed her and reportedly tried to push her through a window.
