Nicolas Sarkozy spends £150,000 of taxpayers' money every year on protecting his DJ son, it has been revealed.
The French president employs two armed bodyguards to keep watch over 26-year-old Pierre, with both commanding £75,000-a-year salaries.
The revelation by French investigative website Mediapart comes as Mr Sarkozy faces heavy criticism of his abuse of the public purse for himself and his family.
Just two weeks ago he lavished £35,000 on a ministerial jet to fly Pierre, aka DJ Mosey and dubbed ‘the most expensive DJ in the world’, back to Paris after he fell ill before a gig in the Ukraine. Full story...
