A businessman accused of receiving $1.4 million worth of stolen electronic goods claimed in court yesterday that he was tortured by the police.
Ong Su Ping alleged that officers forced him to drink their urine, put a toilet brush into his mouth, covered his head with used underwear, pulled his hair and assaulted his private parts.
In a breaking voice, he also claimed that the police threatened him and he had nightmares about the torture, which allegedly went on for four hours.
His mother and his wife, who were in the public gallery, were heard crying as he said this.
