Anti-corruption officers in Malaysia arrested for robbery...

Three Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission officers (MACC), including an assistant commissioner have been arrested for allegedly robbing a money changer of US$300,000 (RM900,000) inside the satellite building at KL International Airport (KLIA).

The three, said to be attached to the Putrajaya special operations division, were arrested on Tuesday by Sepang police following a report lodged by the money changer that he was robbed by them on Sept 15.

In a statement, MACC confirmed the arrests, saying that the three had been suspended and stripped of their investigation powers.

Sources familiar with the investigations said the three went to KLIA to investigate alleged money laundering by several money changers involving millions of ringgit. Full story...
