Six Indian athletes - five women and one man - have been suspended after failing doping tests, officials say. Bringing disgrace to the country, two of India's women athletes, who had won the Asian Games gold medals and the Commonwealth Games were tested positive after failing a dope test. Not only this, but four more were tested positive after failing the drug test.
Jauna Murmu, Sini Jose, Mandip Kaur, long jumper Hari Krishnan, shot putter Sonia and runner Tiana Mary Thomas were tested positive for anabolic steroids, said media reports.
The tests, conducted by National Anti Doping Agency (NADA) reported that all the athletes used steroids following which all were suspended provisionally. More...
