Libyan leader Muammar Gadaffi urged the UN security council on Wednesday to conduct an independent fact-finding mission into Nato war crimes in his country in light of the rising human cost of the military alliance’s attacks.
“The security council should hold an urgent meeting to discuss the matter and stop this barbaric attack,” Colonel Gadaffi said in a nationally televised address.
Nine civilians were killed early on Sunday morning when Nato jets bombed their home in a residential district of Tripoli.
