A Celtic fan who made monkey gestures towards Rangers player El Hadji Diouf during an Old Firm game has been jailed for three months
Sean Smith taunted the on-loan forward as he took a corner kick for the Ibrox side in February this year. The 19-year-old was reported to police by fellow Celtic fans who were disgusted by his behaviour. He was arrested after his photograph appeared in a Sunday newspaper.
Prosecutor Claire Connachan told the court that the teenager was sitting in the west stand of the stadium. Five minutes after kick-off Rangers were awarded a corner kick which was taken by 30-year-old Diouf. More...
