Politicians are no strangers to bigamy or even polygamy. Many of them are known to keep, as the quaint Tamil expression describes it, `chhinavidu', meaning a "small house''. But even the most reckless are known to keep a count of their spouses. Not JD(U) MP Mangni Lal Mandal, though: He told the high court here he doesn't know how many wives he has.
The MP from Jhanjharpur, once a minister in Lalu Prasad government, is no match for tribal politician Bagun Sumbrai who has over a dozen wives. Yet, he failed to tell the court about the number of his wives. Now he is sacked from the post of party chief whip in Lok Sabha.
