Indian executive burnt alive by sacked workers...


A senior manager of a steel factory in eastern India was burnt to death, allegedly by a mob of sacked workers, police said Friday.

Radhey Shyam Roy, a deputy general manager at Graphite India Limited, died on the way to hospital Thursday evening after workers attacked his vehicle in a western district of Orissa state.

'Some 15 workers, angry at being sacked, stopped the jeep near the gate of the factory, doused it with petrol and set it ablaze,' district police chief Ajay Sarangi said over the telephone. More...
