The young Punjabi fan has attracted the bemused attention of the world's cricket media this week with his determined vigil outside the Punjab Cricket Association stadium in Mohali.
For several days he has held a sign in cheerful blue and pink crayon which reads: "Get my kidney, give me ticket." He told one Indian television reporter on Monday: "No one comes to the counter. It has been three days and I still haven't got a ticket. Someone came from the counter and said to take a ticket on the black market for 20,000 ($427) to 25,000 rupees. Take my kidney, I want a ticket to the match." More...
