Scottish singer-songwriter Gerry Rafferty, who enjoyed huge success with "Baker Street" and "Stuck in the Middle With You" in the 1970s has died after a long illness, his agent said Tuesday. He was 63.
Rafferty, who suffered from well documented problems with alcohol, died peacefully at home with his daughter Martha at his bedside, British media reported.
The Scot, whose death was revealed by his agent Paul Charles, was a member of the band Stealers Wheel before his solo career and recorded "Stuck in the Middle with You" in the early 70s with the band. More...
